The 14th edition of the Assises des Déchets, a key event of the industry, will take place on September 27th and 28th, 2017, in Nantes. Its main topic will be: “Waste recycling, reduction and recovery: Staying the course!”
The dates have been set, and the contents of the 2017 edition of the Assises des Déchets are already being fine-tuned. The steering committee’s members and the partners of the event have been elaborating an attractive programme directly connected to recent developments of the industry and to its long-term challenges.
Exchanges between players and stakeholders, sharing of experiences, stock taking of issues, propositions of actions… The Assises have been pursuing the collective ambition to increase performances and recycling, to end wastage, to value territorial initiatives and to take the feedback associated with various European projects into account.
Topics will include: waste sorting facilities, extended producer responsibility, technological creativity, waste plans, plastics recycling, biowaste and food waste, building waste, energy and waste, the need to end bad practices…
After the feedback from technical workshops, two big debate sessions will be held. One will be dedicated to new regulatory developments and to the economic situation of the waste sector, with a focus on the European vision. With the second session, and the participation of keynote speakers, the congress will be closed on a major environmental issue: Preserve the sea from our garbage!
Join us on September 27-28, 2017, at the Cité des Congrès de Nantes.
